Maths - Many ways to solve one problem.

These boys are choosing the best strategy to solve addition and subtraction problems. Here is some of their thinking today. Each child had a different way of solving the problem but all with the same answer.

Project Energise

Today we had Project Energise with Matua Bodean. Our focus for today was on co-operative games. We had to try and get the hula hoop around the circle as quick as we could using team work. One of the groups formed a chained and crawled through the hoop which was an interesting strategy. The other game we played was cross the river. We had to get our team across the river using only three plates. There were some very interesting strategies.

Swim for Life

This week we have had 2 sessions with the instructors from Swim for Life. The children have been learning survival skills for in the water.
