Kauri Tree Art

We have been learning about Kauri dieback in reading time. The children created some Kauri trees using dye and crayons for the background, finger painting to make the patterns on the trunks, green collage leaves and finger painting the ground layer. We then wrote slogans to help save our Kauri trees from the dieback disease.

Here are some of our pieces of art.

  1. hi this is Jordan. I liked the way you… used finger painting for the tree.
Did you think about… where you well put the posters?
Next time, you could...use different colours.
    It is really cool.
