Garden to Table 2020

On Friday we had our first session of Garden to Table for 2020. We had a safety session where we talked about how to be safe in the kitchen and garden and watched videos on how to use a knife safely. The children worked hard in the garden clearing weeds and harvesting seeds. In the kitchen we made hummus, pita crisps and fruit salad. The children all enjoyed the food.

Chromebook Roll out

Yesterday we had our chromebook rollout. The Year 4's received their brand new chromebook. They were very excited. Here are some photos of their happy faces.

Sorting Lollies - Statistics

For statistics we sorted a bag of Party Mix lollies. Mrs Clarke took photos and then we cut them out and chose how we would sort the lollies. Here are some photos of our sorting and the graphs we created.

On Friday the children brought their favourite soft toy to school and we sorted them for Statistics.

Garden to Table 22 November

Kia ora koutou, we have created more delicious kai this morning, vege fritters with carrots, potatoes, onions, corn and silverbeet, served with tomato salsa sauce, followed by sweet bliss balls. Yummo!

Garden to Table 15 November

Today in the garden we pulled out lots of weeds including some rotten lettuces.  We planted some snowpeas, beans, sweetcorn and tomato plants.  The garden is looking great!
In the kitchen we made mini orange and chocolate chip muffins and yummy healthy nachos with onion, garlic, courgette, carrot, tomatoes, silverbeet, lentils and mince. Delicious!
