Writing Week 6

For writing this week Mrs Craig’s group have started work on Poetry as part of a unit with School Kit about getting NZ writing. Their first poem was about them confessing to something they have done in the past, based on a poem called This is Just to Say by William Carlos Williams. Here are some of their interesting published poems.

Mrs Clarke’s writers used a watermelon as inspiration for some great sentences. The children had to
make sure they wrote correct sentences with a capital letter at the start and a full stop at the end.
They used some great ‘juicy watermelon’ words to write awesome sentences.

  2. Can I just say Team Awa, that those stories that begin with 'This is just to say' are soooo funny. I thought they were great.
